Use a Collage to Teach Social Studies

Try a collage with your child in order to introduce you to enjoy the country of origin. Materials needed: magazines, newspapers, scissors, glue, construction paper or cardboard.

The collage is a really fun way to learn basic information about your condition. You can give them specific information about your condition so that they are in a collage or let them decide. I give my children the rules must be followed. There are collages of the state capital, state bird, haveFlower, the great economic characteristics, geographical features and major celebrities who are out of this state. Then you can add more layers to further research and information for your collage. You will learn interesting facts about our fifty states and have fun in the process.

The instructions for building your State Collage:

Cut out the shape of your state of construction paper or poster board.
Give your children the necessary elements that must be covered.
Have your children cut out picturesmagazines, newspapers and / or print from the Internet.
Glue the photo on the collage in the space provided. (For example, in the approximate location of capital)


Let your children can give an oral presentation describing what they have learned because the collage. (For an introduction to rhetoric never hurts)
