Our church has children pay all parents to read the story of the young, for a Bible every day for our children to read to my son Noah's children's Bible is a part of our regular bedtime routine. Sometimes I try to stories about the feast of the Christian calendar, and other times, we just choose to take stories that seem interesting to him (there are pictures to help you choose). There are also stories that will be the favorites - Noah and the arkOf course, Zacchaeus (because he loves the song), and Jonah.
I was very pleased with his quick response to their stories and reading. He will bring out the stories of the Bible, even to share his children with his stuffed animals - or at least some version or can remember images of the conjecture.
One day, when he told the story of Jonah Fred the green rabbit, I was impressed with how story strikes close to home - for Noah, for me, for allus.
Noah's version of Jonah
God told Jonah to go to a special place, but there is Jonah. He went on a boat rather than in another city. And God sent a storm and Jonah thrown into the water and a huge fish swallowed it. Jonah was told at the time of the fish three days before his God, he could be out of the fish. And Jonah went where God told him to go. The end.
Noah Fred, "You must listen to God, or will you in time out!"
Noah's story is simpleis not that the essence of the story of Jonah. The moral of the story is simply that God hears
If only it were that simple!
Of course, we know that no matter what our religion or faith, we know that God listens We know we have rules and guidelines that God has for us to follow.
the children, like Noah, they know that their parents follow the rules and dictates or there will be consequences. Often these consequences, a time-out for Noah are sothe story of Jonah strikes home.
Of course, as he grows old, who follow the rules from different sources, and many have expressed. Why is her father and I are the rules and limitations for him. Obviously, it is easier for us, life at home if he follows the rules and regulations are established to protect necessary, but above all we are taught to follow the rules that God set for him and society.
We learned the rules as childrenFor the same reasons, but as we grow and learn to follow the rules of God and society, the punishments that we receive and subtle change observed. We are not put in time out, but phrases that are most commonly encountered in a social or monetary terms.
For many of us is always easy, these sanctions without the threat of a great whale to swallow ignore us.
As a Christian I believe God's message to us is easy. He wants us to love him and to show thatto help others and love of love. All 'Jesus' teachings and doctrines can only be linked to it.
It 's simple yet so difficult. What have you done this week to love and honor God? What you have to love this week and help others to do?
What worries me is that some people are because the truth is packaged in the following additional messages from the Bible that they have acquired, which are often neglected or directly contradict this essential. While the Bible and itsTeaching are incredibly complex, you can easily find the truth through the study of Jesus' teachings and actions. There is some truth in a simple question - what would Jesus do?
It 's simple yet so difficult. What have you done this week to love and honor God? What you have to love this week and help others to do?
Of course, the biggest challenge is the fact that, by doing these things, we are just as bad as Jonah. We do what God told us to do.
Do not look now, butis not that a great whale to come after you?
