Veterans Day - Activities to honor veterans during Technology Skills class in elementary school

In the first quarter of the school year you get a lot of opportunities for our patriotism with the celebration of Constitution Day in September to explore the opportunities to explore the beginning of November, followed quickly by observe Veterans Day The world celebrated the end of World War II and was created in 1938, the national holiday of "Armistice Day". In 1954, the celebration of Veterans Day "has been renamed, thus allowing all veterans to be honored. What kind of activities we can do to help childrenappreciate the veterans who have served? My goal is twofold: one, to honor veterans, and two, to a certain technological skills in the build process. Some ideas for using technology, including the honor veterans

Visit the websites created for children by veteran organizations.
Writing letters, poems, and then create cards for veterans and the distribution of local hospitals and veteran homes. These cards can be made in KidPix or other drawing program. This could be a flag witha note written in stripes, letters or word processing with drawings or clip art of computer people in the armed forces (particularly well done by kindergarten, first and second classes!)
Create a class book for all images of the alloy class, create and give to a VA hospital or VA home.
Podcasting stories through recorded interviews with veterans created, either at school or outside school.
Podcast of the students about why we are grateful for the armed forces.
LeadThe veterans of the school and honor them through songs, skits and stories for children.
Bring a veteran to share with the students' work on the history and experiences, some of the armed forces of the school.

Throughout the world this day is celebrated, is called Veterans Day, Remembrance Day or Armistice Day. The idea is to reaffirm our commitment to world peace. The children of our world have taught and reminded that peace can be achieved in the world is a target value. In addition,Our children need to take the time to connect with adults, learning to listen and to appreciate what people who have served our country have to teach us all.

All four must know before First Grade Math Skills

There are four important mathematical children need to know before entering first grade. Without a good grounding in these four areas will be fighting for children and not in a position to work beyond the math class before. The good news is that the acquisition of these four mathematical ability is not hard to do.

The first children's math skills should be able to count on (Masters 10-10, then 11-100). This is supported by a manipulator like an abacus, Cuisenaire Rods, etc. .. Done Let your child countin real situations, such as the table for six. At first jump the number of children is normal. I have the experience was fun to hear all my children are twelve, thirteen, fourteen, sixteen, seventeen and finish with more than it actually was.

The second mathematical skills to understand what is important is a one-to-one correspondence. If a child does not understand this concept, he will always be wrong counting or double countingSkip an item. The idea is simple, like a child, should show only one item per line. That is a skill quickly with a bit 'of practice to master.

Should dominate the third child's mathematical ability is the ability to recognize a set of objects, without having to count (up to ten). This will significantly improve a child to communicate quickly and smoothly, with most top ten. A quick and easy, this ability is through the practice of keeping a child up to a certain number of fingers andthen quickly identify how many fingers are up to On several occasions I have had a turn lighting "guess how many fingers do I have?" to my children. For their tips, I sometimes repeating the same number, while raising his fingers different.

The skills of reading and writing numbers, mathematical skills last a child, you should know before the first grade mathematics. Take this in stages, first with your child using the sense of touch (eg, sandpaper number) onwhile saying the number. The actual process of writing involves different steps, then you must break them, so that your child practice just one step at a time. Eg how to use a pencil to see a number, and how to keep a finger number. You can make this process fun with games that involve different skills.

Through the teachings of four major mathematical skills, and kindergarten children for the first class will be prepared. Be patientand the learning process as enjoyable as possible, and quickly, is wowing the kindergarten children with their mathematical skills.
